a boring question but... i've always had the collapsible water carriers and they've always leaked. is there a brand that doesn't? how do you carry yours? i realise that many of you have water tanks in your sink unti but for those of us that don't have...?
We use 10L Poly containers with screw caps. Two for general use and a 2.5L one for ease of use ie filling the kettle.
A 5L Tesco Value "mudflap water from our springs at Milton Keynes" bottle. It's light to fill and carry and when it looks a bit old I get a new one for 59p - already filled!
We are posh and have on onboard water tank with pump and sink. Holds about 25 litres which is enough for 2-3 nights away if we don't use it for washing up.(use campsite pot wash)
10L Poly container with screw caps and a tap in the T5 £8.99 from Grantham caravans. But when I fit if out it will have a whale pump in it going to the sink (when). Ruby the T2 also has a 10l container with a whale in it going to the sink.
These look usefull if your pouring rather than using a tap with pump http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-SWEDISH-ARMY-SURPLUS-9L-PLASTIC-WATER-STORAGE-BOTTLE-CONTAINER-145x145x450mm-/200807868535?pt=UK_Collectables_Militaria_LE&hash=item2ec114e877
This is the one we have not sure if they still sell um, i paid a pound at a booty for it lol. The only time i fill our tank up is if im staying put for a while or if we are going and not sure about water supply or drought conditions.
