how bright should my speedo dial be in the dark?

  1. I've just been out to the petrol station and noticed that between 0-30 its a bit dim but anything above 50 I can t see diddly. it looks like there's a bulb to the left that illuminates but nothing above or to the right - should there be. Although to be fair its unlikely I'll be going above 50 much after dark.....

Have you tried turning the brightness up by twisting your light switch clockwise

  3. Turn the light knob it dims and brightens the instrument cluster

Try twisting the headlight switch - it dims the dial lights. :)

Also consider replacing the bulbs. They do blacken over time. You'll be amazed at the difference.

  8. if 0-30 lights up and 50+ doesnt then it seems the bulb is out. with the lights on reach under the dash and turn the bulb holder a bit, it may come back on. if not you will need to replace the bulb

  9. I read woody's reply and thought he must be on a wind up but once the rest of you chipped in I began to believe - its a bit better thanks. I probably need a decent nights kip to really work out if its still too dim.

    Cheers

  10. Took me 6 months to work that out!
