Horrible noise

Hi,
The front mount spare wheel on my T2 makes a horrible drumming noise. The bracket seems secure as is the wheel.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Any thoughts for a fix?

 

Is the spare wheel resting on the bumper , allowing the bumper to take the wheel weight ??

It should be or the panel flexes .

Could also be a baggy cover , try a run without the cover on - if you have one ...

 

Does it have/might it be a wheel cover thrumming?

My van used to make a terrible whining noise, I don't take her with me anymore, sometimes the easiest options are right !

 

Is it air speed related or bump related : do you have a sun visor too, or a floppy pedal pan underneath ?

It could be the front panel flexing and hitting things inside.
Mine is silent but the bottom edge of the wheel presses hard on the paintwork so it doesnt move.

Go and try and move the wheel up and down, it shouldnt move much.

 

If it’s a terrible drumming noise, are you quite sure you haven’t hit Phil Collins? Worth checking under the van.

 

Mine,s the same ,she has everything a good man could ever want, a beard,pipe,copy of the racing times and an ounce of backky to roll her own.

Degsy passed on earlier this year - it was sudden - obviously didn't see it coming

 

I'd check in case my mother in law was sitting somewhere in the bus.

 

Horrible noise how bad is it, is it bagpipe horrible or not as bad
