Hi everyone got a new steering wheel, not sure where the wire goes I have enclosed two photographs ,maybe somebody might be able to help. Do I Attach the wire to the brass strip? Pic 1 Or pic 2 attach wire to bottom of the boss? Or is it none of these . Thanks

Brings back memories for me,last year I had the same problem. My wire which went down the steering column was earthing out which made the horn go off.mine fitted on to the brass clip but the connector was earthing out the horn so I put some insulating tape around it and that sorted the problem for me.
When I fitted the same steering wheel I reused the plastic ring, with the copper edge on it, from the old steering wheel. It just screws to the bottom, you can see the screw indents in your picture. If I remember rightly it has a cable that threads through to the connection in the boss.
