Hey My door cards have seen better days so I was thinking about making some from 4mm birch ply. Who has made their own door cards and how do they look? How do the ply ones keep the clips in place from the rears or are they visable from the front too? Cheers
I don't have pic's but I've made door cards from the same type ply, and found they worked even better that the cardboard they come in. I used the same type larger hole with the push clips slid into the hole from the back. They could not be seen from the front, (after the fronts were upholstered) and were better then factory.
It's actually quite easy, as long as you have a fairly decent sewing machine. If you have one I'd definitely recommend doing it yourself, save a small fortune.
