Can you use the heat generated from
The fridge to heat the water ?

    Fix the Propex installation.

Or Use a water cooled oil cooler to get heat while driving...

Or use similar loop but with a second hand water heater out of a diesel car, as they are a lot cheaper than Webasto/Eberspacher euro style air heaters... apart from Chinese ones of course..

  12. I'm imagining a scene from Stop That Pigeon where Klunk is demonstrating his latest pigeon catching contraption......

  13. Are you going to have it on a switch, or just operating whilst driving as if parked up it will eat your battery. Also need it not to be on when your running with lights. What element have you purchased?

  14. Is the first rule of Thermodynamics that no-one talks about thermodynamics?

  15. I do, the sink is above the fridge, I fill it with water at night and have a sink of warm water to wash with in the morning.

Our draining board on the boat is above the fridge. Dries the dishes a treat:thumbsup:

  17. It is pointless ;). Even wrapping round the exhaust serves no purpose, as the heat transfer will be minimal - there’s little heat round the exhaust pipe. The proper heat exchangers have great long fins in to scavange heat from the hottest part of the exhaust gas stream.

As above, a teeny 200W element will still pull 16A from your electrics, more than driving around with your headlights on main beam all the time. Your fuel consumption will go up accordingly - the energy’s got to come from somewhere.

I’d spend your money on a set of heat exchangers.
