hmmmmm! Water on the dashboard

  1. been lashing it down her this morning and so I went out to put Kittys air vent ears on and noticed a cm deep pool of water inside the windscreen. it has filled up the channel and had eventually over-spilled behind the kickboard onto the cab floor. The seal looks tights all round and there is not sign of any water ingress anywhere else. Aside from refitting the windscreen (which I don't want to do), anyone got any ideas how to stop the pooling - was thinking of putting some wicking along the inside of the windscreen in the form of 2cm thick rope which I can remove and dry out as needed.

You need to stop the water coming in. Sounds like a windscreen out job to check the lower lip to me.
If you don't want to do that you'll have to just keep wiping it out I guess.

  3. You can get some stuff called Stop leak but it will only happen again in the future. The only way unfortunately is to remove the screen & re install it, use a new rubber even if the old one looks good.
You must go for a top quality one. When out check the window frame for rust ect & make sure its clean.

  4. thanks - its strange cos for the last year and all the rain we've had, there's not been a single drop of water in there - then all of a sudden this week, its poured in.
