Has Rhubarb n bolly approached the foot of the mountain the sign said 20% and tight bends , i wondered if my van would make it , Ricks should be ok he has 2 litres of power and a unfettled van , Rhubarb on the other hand has had 15 owners and been fettled beyond belief , Bolly hit the bottom of the hill at a steady 55mph and i followed close on her tail , half a mile up and Ricks began to slow Rhubarb was still pulling well , i eased off and dropped a gear bolly began to pull away and then at a particuarly steep bit just before a tight right Bollys auto dropped another cog , not wantin to do a Alanred7/magicalTrev i dropped another cog and fell back . Bolly cruised up and around the bend at a steady 20 ish and Rhubarb followed close behind - a couple of miles later and it was all downhill from there , i could sense the relief in Ricks mind by the way his driving downhill had a certain shall we say cockiness , what he could'nt tell was , we were giving each other high five's in Rhubarb ,she had p155ed it ,not bad for a 40 year old knacker . Bolly n Rhu took on the mountain and passed with flying colours . we were heading for the high bit :-
i really wish i had videoed climbing the mountain, i've driven it no end of times and i admit i was cacking it going from the bottom, it's a 2nd gear job in most cars due to the steepness, i was going to stop at the top for a picture but i forgot, i was looking in the rear view all the time to see if malc was ok http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bwlch_y_Groes
