  1. Hi guys,

Im having a clear out of car bits and I have this very special set up that I was planning on fitting to my mk1...then i sold it, then my mk2...then I sold it! It won't suit my camper but Im certain they'd fit as I've been told you can fit mk1 headlights to campers so these would fit too.

This is an un used item, never been fitted to any car so its mint! the tinted lenses look fantastic

the only stipulation is that one lens has a cross hair and the other one doesnt, you cant immediately notice and if you can take the lens apart then you can either remove the cross hair or add one to the other lens.

I have looked around to see how much these are going for now and the price for the kits are around £140 quid but I'm not sure if this includes lenses or not.

So with that in mind I'm going to put the price at £90 quid plus postage.

    Thanks

    Bruce

    Are they really that expensive?
I gave a new set to someone on here after they caused me to fail my MOT!

heres what Im basing the price on, range from this up a bit but I don't think these come with the lenses, Im open to offers on them but they do owe me money as I bought them new! theyre totally unused. if you have a way of getting through MOT's with them theys look awesome, the tinted lenses look so smart

if theyre not worth 70 plus post I will drop it within reason. Im nice like that

I thought those hid lights needed a self levelling system and headlight washers to satisfy the MOT.

    They do and they haven't!

On most cars they're part of the car, not the light.
I don't know if you can sort something out separately?

The washers could be mocked up - don't some of the Swedish buses have washer jets as part of the Bumper over riders?

The self levelling kit would require some form of mercury level/gyroscope affair and motors in each light and a pivot.

Most cars self level motor is not in the light, it powers a cam to the headlight pivot.

I still found re-wiring the lighting circuit brought my boggo lights up to a tolerable spec,

  13. so are these no good then? Im so pi$$ed, just goes to show you shouldnt leave things too long from buying to using, and trusting the previous owner who said "yeah everythings there..."

soooo, 40 quid? any use to any one? just want rid now :(

  14. They do. I fitted some to my Dodge and though they were bright they had a carp beam pattern and I had to change back because people kept flashing me all the time. I paid £40 from ebay for my set new.

  15. did yours come with lenses matey?

  16. No that was just the HID kit.

  17. Oh and those retro kits all have no self levelling system you got all the bits I think they are just all illegal in europe. I knew that with mine but I thought how are they going to know and I always had the old bulbs with me anyway so could change them back.

  18. ok guys does any one want them? ill do them for 30 quid posted :(

So many people have retro fitted them round here. Why? Is it safer to drive while you blind everyone coming the other way or a quick way to up your chances of a head-on collision? Stupid fashion item for the thoughtless. I'd chuck them straight in the bin and save some poor bugger from causing an accident.
I'm one of those people who flash their lights, but I don't flash them, I whack 'em on full beam and leave them there. Serves them right.

Just as bad when they're behind you - you'd think the owners would notice they're lighting up the back of my head and therefore can't be dipped? I drive along doing a V-sign (for eductional purposes of course).
