Help needed please...?

  1. HI all, I have recently bought some seatbelts from JK with all the stuff I need to fit them. However I need the mounting plates welding in to where they need to go in order to fit them.

So, is there anyone on here that has experience with them, knows where to put them, and is able to weld them in for me?

Im based in Sheffield, I have rang Auto Haus Dolby and they dont tend to do them as its the safety modification. But they recommended a guy called Ken Fox that has had experience in doing them.

But has anyone got experience with welding mounting plates in? fitted seatbelts before? Thats close to Sheffield?

    Thanks in advance peeps :)

  2. erm front or back mate. front is easy enough, rear a bit more awkward due to fuel tank being in between engine and rear seat position? i would imagine.

  3. have you got a camper or a panel - if the latter like mine, officially its an engine and fuel tank out job i believe........

  4. No way! Is it really?! Mines a late camper, had a look this morning and it has old seatbelt mounts running along the bulkhead so the ones id need doing are the ones on the rear arches really, that is if i can use the old mounts??

    Thanks for the replies guys

usually if there is corrosion around the mounts you'll need replacements matey, well i would for piece of mind anyway. you got any pics of what needs replacing?

  8. so would these existing mounts be used to bolt the seatbelts straight to, therefore the mounting plates I bought would not be used?
