Hi all Have seen an ad for a 1974 Beetle in the Bolton area - it's been stripped down for 3 years but never finished but apprently has all the parts to go back together with it. There aren't a lot of photos though....and I'm also DEFINITELY not about to repeat my last hasty vehicle purchase : ....so I wondered if there was anyone in the Bolton area who could come help me give it a once over? Do you have time? In fact thinking about it, if Steve has a low loader (??) and we are able to do a deal it could go back to Settle to live (if you have the space) while Steve does the resto on it. Ooh a potential plan...??!
You are certainly hooked now. We got our Beetle about 8 weeks ago, what a nightmare, it seems a lot more trouble than the van. Love it though. good luck!
Adam don't say that - Paley is already giving me those "this really isn't a good idea but I know you won't listen to me" looks ;D It's for Pascale's 17th birthday...although she might find herself relegated to the Polo which is solely used for ferrying wet and muddy airedales around ;D
