Ah bugger, that’s what happened to my truck back last winter…. It’s a bloody’ shock when the engine suddenly runs away isn’t it? Thankfully I got my engine stalled in time and saved it seizing. Hope yours is okay

  3. Quick thinking, I saw one runaway once until it literally blew the head off. It was outside my brother's garage at the time. He sauntered out looked at the carnage and said "yep that's fuxxxd mate" and went back in. Cheers for your help Wayne.

  5. They all stay within 100km of base as they don't need to use tachographs for recovery then. That is why The AA generally are from services to services.

When she knew I had to be there by 1 she was on the phone to the AA her Boss etc and took me to Southampton instead of Fleet services, no one it seemed wanted that stretch...... DH Price on the island said your van will have to go into a storage / recovery yard in Southampton. I said no, she is bringing me down. (its handy knowing the receiving recovery company) they said we have just been notified you are in Fleet. I said trust me we are heading out the services to Southampton. The AA app is really bad for, A. The person broken down and B. The operators. Other than that Made my day a lot better than it could have been :)
