  1. I ordered new driveshafts for Flo.

    They turned up like this:

There are bits of cardboard packing in the grease and who knows whatelse I can't see.

They assure me there will be no problem using these on my bus. They would offer me a refund but not an exchange.

Are they right? Should I just pick the bits out and use them?

I guess they should have come with some form of vaccum seal on the ends, keep the dirt out...GKN costcutting?

  3. They have a piece of plastic over the end then the green plastic that seals round the edge. Only problem is that the poor packing meant they rattled around so much the green seal came off. The inner plastic one is punctured.

Presumably if a take the refund and return them they will just sell them to someone else.

They said they wouldn't exchange as the new ones would be packaged the same and the same thing might happen!

Thats not very good customer service....

are all of the bearings and clips in the seats, if so, and they are free from little bits of dirt etc, they should be okay to fit. If you have any extra grease, pack some in to replace that which has come out

  5. Thats poor they could of at least taped some plastic bags over the ends

  6. I would have crammed them in a smaller box...

I`d use them and would not think twice.... C:)

  7. All resolved. Credit where it is due - sterling effort by Glenn in customer service.
New ones being delivered and old ones collected tomorrow.

Apparently they should have been in individual VAG boxes.

Not sure why these weren't but don't really care now :)

  8. Good - a result :). Irrespective of whether they're usable or not, you paid full whack for them & they shouldn't be packed like that.

That's a real surprise - must have a new boy packing. Some of their stuff might be a bit tat, but their packaging is usually A1.

Don't get me started on schofields packaging - I never buy anything from them anymore after so many damaged panels. I love them up their, but they couldn't put a pint in a glass...

  10. That's more like it :)
