Hello from yet another newbie and first time owner!

I almost feel guilty joining as a complete newbie, as I fear my interactions may be somewhat one-sided until I learn more, but I hope to be around long enough to give back again in the end, and I'm not THAT blonde, so maybe that won't be too far in the future with any luck!

I bought my first crossover bay campervan in February and he's my daily driver at the moment, so I've been getting to know his foibles in a hurry! We had a few weeks at the beginning where everything I and my mechanic friend fixed only seemed to highlight something else that needed urgent attention - often it felt like we'd finish a session with more to do than when we started. I've been fairly lucky so far, in that Wiggie has been pretty reliable (only overheated big time once, and that was an oil leak) and now we've fixed the brake lights, and the reversing lights, and the right indicators and I no longer drive around in fear of being hit from behind I'm even happier

We're due to go on our first camping trip this BH weekend and I'm in Wiggie now (outside my house!) with my hound carrying out a test run for both Wiggie's fully-kitted-out-ness and my dog's tolerance of sleeping the night in the van (he wasn't great with tents but was ok with cars previously, so I'm keeping everything crossed ).

Strictly speaking Wiggie may not be a late bay but I'm sure nobody will hold his early baycrossover status against us here, will they?

We're based on the Hants/Surrey border, or, as I'm sure you will all relate better to, almost exactly half way between the summer TLB summer camp at the Basingstoke canal centre and the Hog's Back Brewery

He's certainly doing a good job of putting Ty and I up tonight <= this is the mirror of the one on my face right now, and the one in the front on pic above - if you look closely in the windscreen just above the wiper blade in the middle my grin is about all you can see of me

Whoever said that it's smiles, not miles, to the gallon that counts has it bang on
