Heater tubes going to nowhere.

  1. Hi all

Can someone tell me where the two tubes should be going to.

There also seems to be a sensor on the side that isn't connected either.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. There should be flexy pipes on them. One should go to the vent at the front of the cargo floor under the walk through bit. The other one may mean you had an eberspacher or whatever they're are called at one time and it was ducted into the other hole, but I don't know anything about them really. The sensor is probably something to do with that.
Check you M plate, that should tell you.

the van has/had 3 options for heat from engine into the van.
straight forward panel van had pipes from engine to the y section then one single pipe to the totem.
microbus conversions had a 2nd pipe for the centre walkthrough which is what you have there.
the other inlet is for an eber as i guess is the sensor.
westfalia then added a 3rd under the rnr bed to further dilute the heat.......
i removed all mine bar the feed to totem so all heat goes to the screen/feet, i'd imagine if you have working heat that's the story here.

even thought there is a sprung shut off valve in the diverter it's a wise plan to block the ends if you're not using it to keep more heat in, i used that aluminium plumbers tape.

  6. Hi all

    Thanks for the info.
