Heater Recomendations

  1. Hi All,
can anyone recomend a good heater, which would be best, gas, electric (12/240v)?
I am about to install a leisure battery with dual charger with an inverter and mains hook-up. Is there a heater on the market that would take dual voltage? can these be used in the cab to de-mist the window whilst driving?
    Many thanks

There are no 12v heaters that are worth while unless you just want to clear your screen slowly.

There is a propex model that works on 240v too.

  7. Have you looked at the standard van heating? If it's setup and lagged properly it does a pretty good job at demisting and heating the van while on the move.

  8. i have just had the petrol eberspacher bl1 heater fitted in my van fixed and it is fantastic !

biggest benefit is that you can run it while you are driving, good on fuel, easy on battery charge, runs off the leisure battery a treat.

It's a budget thing in the end. And what you want to use it for. I've camped for years without any heating, but I recently came across a cheap Eberspacher and have that installed and working - as above it really chucks out the heat and to be frank it's going to be more fun camping.
