Heater rear Y-section.

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by yorkieman, Jan 5, 2013.

  1. Does anybody have a rear Y-section for the heater system that they want to sell, i can purchase one new but, would be happy to try to get a used one first.

    cheers,

  2. The plastic part under the dash or the metal part over the rear torsion tube?

  3. metal part over the torsion tube

  4. I had no idea you could buy these new hence the question -the plastic Y under the dash was what I thought you were after as I knew this was available new

There is guy selling these as GRP repro's which can come in two parts as they're a bit difficult to get back in apparently!! If I can find the link I'll post

i replaced mine with two sections of ali air conduit , the 2" stuff and silver tape ran them into one at the main pipe and it works a treat .

they look ok to me , if they allow air through and you insulate it properly then the jobs a good un , i am glad i never saw them when i made mine otherwise i would be £35 out of pocket and no better off heat wise .

  13. The fibreglass ones look good

If you want good used german metal then £20 but will probably cost another tenner to send

    bagsy 2nd dibs Mat !

  16. I had this up a while ago, a load of interest but no one actually bought it.

I'll dig out the pic of the other side hub it will need a couple of patches, tube is still heavy so despite the rust it is good thick metal and yes others have guessed a sod to remove from a van.

£30 posted if you or anyone wants it as it is in the way

  17. .....and therefore possibly a sod to refit!
