    Hi,

I just cleaned up the heater and hmm..not quite sure what to do now.. There is a few rust holes here and there but in my opinion nothing major..anyway I was wondering what you would suggest in this matter trying to weld it up or just leave it as is?.. (here's the pic)

that's a T4 HX and yo have to clamp the riser pipe to it. This is difficult and frustrating even with a new one! I'd find some pipe that will fit in the riser and weld an inch to you hx, then gum-gum up the holes if any.

T1 exchangers are more forgiving as the plastic concertina pipe pushes on easily with no clamp really needed.

Thank you guys.. I didnt think about a piece of pipe to be welded in if Im honest and thats a great idea :) thx zed.. Will only need to find a proper one to fit a riser as you said the only problem may be welding as the metal is v thin in that area but worth trying anyway :)
