Heat Exchanger parts

    Just fitting new heat exchangers and notice that the parts shown in the VWHeritage as Air Inlet covers don't come with the new exchangers and by the law of sod, the parts were missing from the old ones.
    Silly question, but I presume these parts are required for the exchangers work efficiently.

  2. I would suggest they are needed, shouldn't be too hard to make some up. Mine are off at the moment, I could photo em if you want some idea of shape/size..

    Thanks for offer....had looked on VW Heritage website and can see what they should look like.....they have them in stock but a bit pricy at £ 15 each. Had thought of making some out of thin metal lying around in garage.Thanks for your thoughts on matter...much appreciated.
