headlights !!!

but there still not very bright can any one recomend where to get some good quality really bright lights from

 

If the bulbs are the brighter type and you're seeing no benefit, then you need to improve your lamp bowls. I refurbished my own 3 screw type, look in how to, and I've been buying cheap units from holdens for the sealed units.

 

Those are cheap bulbs though and I'd question 50% brighter than what.

 

I see now, they are standard halogen bulbs. If you have 3 screw lamps you also need to remove the dish reflector from the centre of the bowl reflector

 

Don't they replace the round tungsten jobs? Will the halogen filaments be in the right place? Sounds a bit iffy...

What state are the reflectors in?

 

They should be much better with those bulbs
could be your dish as said or your wiring is old have a search for fitting head light relays

 

you lights do look a bit black....9.95 for a bulb wow..

I've got bog-standard Bosch H4s and stuck the "brighter" Osram bulbs in. They do actually work.
