Headlights .. low beam

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by daisytype2, Oct 29, 2012.

  1. Hello All......

i have had a look through some of the "headlight" threads, but cant seem to find any help there, so. around 10 months ago had issue with the low beam, which was found to be the Relay.... last week driving home have had the same issue.. side lights fine, main beam fine, no low beam. checked fuses, bulbs.... all fine, so thought ok, must be the relay again.... nope! new relay but still have the issue.

    to recap....

sides fine and main fine - working as and when should.... Switch?

don't rule out the new relay i have had several new ones that are faulty.

    Start wit the the basics
    fuses
    bulbs
    all wires connected

you could try shorting out the wires on the back of the relay 56 to 56b

56 black/white is the feed from the light switch and if this has 12v with the light switch on and with it shorted out to 56b yellow the lights should come on if not its the relay.
