Having a tinker with our new bus, we have booked it in for the MOT on Saturday but I have noticed she does not have an hazard lights?? I called the previous keeper who told me that it wasnt built with any and that this is normal?? Is this right?
if it wasn't built with any they cannot test them can they i think you will find that mot rules are governed by the year of a vehicles manufacture date that's why an old van and the emissions test are more lenient at MOT time take the van and take your chances just make sure everything else is in working order
You dont need them for the MOT. had a 75 fleetline bus without any, no problems. I dont think any car needs them if it was built before some time in the eighties!
ahhhh your right Hazard warning devices are not required on vehicles first used before 1 April 1986, but if one is fitted it must be tested.
Hmmmm so it seems I may have to do some investigation into why my flashers arent working before the MOT. When I pull the knob the lights on the dash come on but dont flash, no relay noise & none of the indicators flash... Where should I start is the question? Robo...
