Never bought one, never bought a lottery ticket. :) So no, I've never won anything.

  7. I think we're about even as we often win 1-2 quid and we've won 16 on a couple of occasions too

We once won £100 worth of scratch cards from a supplier at work, after the rep left we all sat in my office and scratched them all off, nothing out of the ordinary until Rob said " I'm not sure but I think this says £11,111?????"

We got about £11,500 in total. As there were 10 of us we had 1k each and spent the rest on a Christmas do where everything was paid for including hotels.

Me and the missus went to Vegas on our share, happy days :D

  13. Won £70 on a Pac Man card a few years ago.

  14. My mate found one on the floor about 8 years ago, scratched it off and won £1000! Then went out and blew the lot on a big leather lazy boy arm chair that when he got delivered realised it was too big to fit in his bedroom lol, his old man ended up with a cracking armchair :)

  15. at most people lose on the lottery shocker. It's not a con, you know in advance you're going to lose. Console yourself with the nice thoughts of all of those good causes (not forgetting tax and Camelot profit) you have supported by buying scratch cards.

And no, never won more than £10, but only buy 1 card each at Christmas for the crackers.

  16. If you look on the lottery site it will tell you how many winning scratch cards are left in circulation and of what value, from that you can roughly calculate your odds of winning.

For example if there is only the £10 wins left on shiny balls scratch cards you don't buy one.

In answer to the op question, I've never won anything on any scratch card/lottery/bingo/raffle, I seem to be one of the unlucky ones in life.

  17. I've had a few wins over the years but not life changing ones. I was in a queue in a local petrol station once and the woman infront of me had just bought a scratchcard and was scratching away while I was being served. She had only gone and won £2,000. So I bought the same make of card and ......... didn't win.

A mate of mine won £30,000 on one two years ago, bought a tumble-down terraced house with it and now earns money renting it out.
