@jivedubbin @Merlin Cat @rustbucket Third Honeywell heating controller in three years has just expired. They're overpriced sh1te. Honeywell kit used to have a good rep - have they gone downhill? Any recommendations? Might have a rummage in the garage for our old Sunvik thingy.
Nope. Full price Honeywell - and they're not cheap. The first one was dead out the box, the second lasted a month before doing mad flamenco castanets with its relays, the third has just frozen with the hot water on, telling me it's eighty-three o'clock. Useless. Avoid
Blimey They make Aviation equipment as well Are you sure it's not just you not reading the instructions properly nipper Get a Pifco one
A lot of stuff these days is big name badged but made in China or Eastern Europe. Bosch seems to do this a lot. and the quality and durability suffers. I have a Danfoss heating controller which has lasted years and still working fine.
Typical 14 posts in and not one plumber shows up, @snotty ask an Eastern European, they are more reliable
It's ok Baz, the Polish bloke next door gave me an answer, then bought me a couple of pints. The others said they'd like to give me answer, but it won't be before next Thursday.
HONEYBUN! it's gus honeybun! snotts, i'm aware of your new honeywell aversion but i have it on good authority that these are made by honeywell and cheaper https://www.wolseley.co.uk/product/center-radio-frequency-programmable-room-thermostat/
