I get the point of the picture, there is a vast disparity in earnings. I’m a nurse working in the charity sector, I earn £16 an hour roughly. But the footy player, it’s not quite as simple as “kicks a ball”. He’ll have been kicking a ball all his life, he’ll have made sacrifices to get to be a top player, so he is paid according to that. Plenty of nurses go to football matches. Concerts too, you could point the finger at pop and rock stars who earn vast amounts. I don’t hear many, well actually I have never heard any, of my colleagues complain about premier league footballers wages. I mean it’s nice that people appreciate nurses, but all the same it’s not the footballer’s fault if he earns a Bob or two more than me
it’s 7k more than fire fighters, 10k more than a police officer and 10k more than qualified care nurse in the care sector And the same as a paramedic. Im not saying they aren’t have a tough time of it but that’s due to other issues 35k for the qualifications they have it’s not that bad
