Just thought I'd take this opportunity to wish all on Late Bay a Happy New Year and lets hope 2012 is a good one for all of us!! The later half of 2011 saw some changes take place within MEB and due to a reduction in general servicing work we have now moved to a smaller unit in Birmingham but are still able to offer lowering, servicing, MOT prep work as well as welding so if theres any jobs you need tackling then please don't hesitate to get in touch and we will get a slot booked in for you. We will continue to import buses in 2012 (both earlies and lates) but this will be on a more personal service basis where we will supply buses to order rather than holding a large stock of buses as we did in 2011. This is down to the fact that so many people are now personally importing buses to sell on that we are finding it impossible to compete once we have added VAT to our prices so we are hoping our approach will mean we can link buses to customers exact requirements. Our main focus we will be to build on the range of products for earlybays that we have started work on already, we will continue to develop the coil over shocks for dropped spindle buses, a test set is about to be fitted to our new bus 'Billy' for some on the road testing including hopefully a trip to Ninove in March. We are also looking at the beetle gearbox conversion kits although the one we have fitted to Billy was based on an old speed kit from the US and to say it didn't fit too well would be an understatement (as mentioned by Gadget on another post), we've noted all the changes required and hope to get a first batch made soon.
