..handbrake cover surraund fitting..

    ..Hi can anyone explain me how to fit it properly?..I took the handbrake handle and that flexi plastic round bung off but it does not fit..the hole is somewhat offset to the handbrake rod..unfortunatelly dodn’t take any pics..

  2. From memory...can you loosen the handbrake bracket under the dash and move it a bit?

    I think the hole in the plastic is in the correct central position and the handbrake lever is leaning over..
    Either its pivot is worn and its being hauled sideways by uneven tension of the brake cables or it's just a bit bent .

    ..I might try it again today but on my bus it looks like it never been fitted from the factory hmm...thanks

    It could have been the day the production line worker slipped up with the spot welder and installed the handbrake assembly off centre. He had probably lost the calibrated block of wood, but the QC guy said "it works" .. and there was another process step that says "cosmetic : if the cover does not fit, forget it"

    ..Mike everythings nice and straight there I try take some close up pics today..I’m not desperate really to fit it infact I’m out now giving another chance to make my intermitent wipers work as found another relay in my box of treasures

    I think the intermittent wipers how to got lost in the last forum hack.
