Hi, just thought I'd let everybody know about the Halfwayhouse pub, it's off the A458 halfway between Shrewsbury to Welshpool on the left cant miss it. It's a lovely pub with a large field for camping only £5 a night, lovely food, a nice pint, they have an outdoor stage and sometimes have a band or music on, pool table, also there's a permanent bouncy castle there for the kids or adults if it takes your fancy, they have water and outdoor toilets and will sort out hookup if you want it. Andy and Louise are the landlords and very friendly and helpful. Ive been a few times for a nice cheap getaway for a bit of piece and quiet. I had my engagement camping party here 2 weeks, they put a curry buffet on for us, booked me a singer for the outdoor stage, and we had all out friends camp on there field it was a fantastic weekend. I'll post a few pics of the field and back of the pub. Highly recommend from myself Get a few Vans together and give it a try I think you'll enjoy it Thanks Dickie 😉

No probs, might arrange a campervan gathering there end of August/September if anyone interested on here.. Sat/sun weekend Get the field full of late bays 👍
keep me posted, as i say we go that way a lot, this saturday i'll be passing, back sunday then down again next friday.
£10 a night electric on a meter £1 a go pub on site good food and beer, site basic but good enough, we are the only ones here camping!
weather been ace today, just had the best curry chips and rice ever in a pub! waiting for my chocolate cake and ice cream now mmmmm
