possibly a special but i remember the guard catching us playing up , he sat us down and told us all about that particular train and it was he said one of the last steam hauled timetabled trains ,i have tried to verify it in the past to no avail -- we came back on a diesel hauled .

They did about 15 coaches in all (I'm going back some years now) and RVEL in Derby did the loco's - in what used to be the old APT - E Lab at Derby!! I didnt know they used HSTs but the 37's were done by Harry Needle at BH. Before my Dad joined BRR, he was over at the loco works in Derby where he built D1 through D10...this was part of the training on the works & it was his turn, at the time, on the production line. I think they did the kitting out of the noses (air comps & traction motor blowers etc)
the 37's done by harry are now 97301-304, they are for the ertms signalling on the cambrian line, yeah notwork fail have 5 hst cars in yellow along with various converted mk3 coaches - affectionatly called "the flying banana"
