Had a lovely drive out in Polly to the coast this afternoon

  1. I really love that bus. Have hardly driven her in last few weeks but when I get behind that wheel on a nice 60 minute + drive out I keep telling myself she's the best thing I have EVER bought.

Have now decided to tax her rather than SORN for winter. She will still go into storage but at least if we have a weirdly nice dry spell in say late November or early March I can jump in and go for a spin.

Looking forward to planning some nice long weekends for next year.

  2. nice one :)

We sorn rusty from nov to april but do kinda feel like hauling her out again from march

I'm jealous, been at work all day today. Got family stuff to do next few days. Need a drive but got to wait until next weekend.

This will be my first winter but I am keen to keep driving when possible.

Got to agree with the feeling behind the wheel :)

  4. Had a cruise through Bournemouth & Poole in Marge this afternoon, beautiful day for bus driving :)

  5. the problem with SORNing is you cant go for a drive on Xmas & new Years day or GO WINTER CAMPING!

  6. No sorning for me. I've nearly got the smurf bus in a state ready to go out. I'm planning a few winter nights out if I can get some heating sorted out.

  7. Got 4 days off next week and they're forecasting an Indian summer, 

  8. Get the popadums and bhajis out !

Follow the link and it says on the page " you may also like this utility poncho "

Goes well with a gas fire I guess - you could inflate it with hot air and sail away into the distance. :-*

  14. The gas heaters are on eBay for less than £20 with 4 gas canisters at the moment.

  15. Safe to use in a bus ?

    With 2 small dogs ?

Couldn't answer re the dogs but I'm not dead yet. I do however now have a CO2 alarm fitted in the bus.

  19. I need a heater, and was debating between one of those or a black cat heater.

With regard to keeping it taxed, you could always come winter camp to make it worth while!?
