  1. Hi
I order this tool to adjust the tappets. It's always a pain trying to juggle a ring spanner, a screw driver and the feeler gauges. Now it's arrived it says in the instructions that once its set, you don't need a feeler gauge! I watched a vid on YouTube and it looks easy. Anyone every used these before? I don't get how it works!

  2. You calibrate them in "clicks" for the right gap before you use it.

Unfortunately, they're very hard to use on our flat engines while you're lying under the van: the heads and other stuff are in the way of the lever. I gave up with mine.

    I'd send it back...sorry :(

I posted on Mech/tech last year asking what folk thought of the clickadjust, cos I was thinking of buying one. The general consensus was they don't work so well on our engines, so I didn't bother. Spanner n screwdriver is a pain, but not that much of a pain. I don't regret not getting one.
