Does anyone make a decent tent peg extractor that doesn't hurt your hands or break after a couple of uses? or am I going to ave to make my own?
I thought you can get ones built in to the handle of the rubber mallet - you certainly used to be able to.
I can't for the life of me remember where I read this but thought at the time, "what a simple idea" - and that was twisting up a carrier bag and leaving it under the hook of the peg when you hammer it in, then just grab the two ends of the bag and pull when you want to remove. Have to admit I haven't tried it tho'
I've never had a problem with one of these: How hard are you hammering those pegs into the ground anyway?
Normally down to ground level so I don't trip over them in the dark. I just trip over the guys instead ;D Seriously though, the one I just broke was the same as that, but both sides of the handle just snapped off, with hardly any pressure. Can't wait to go camping again now, just to try out my new puller ;D 8)
