Hopefully the last thread about installing my radio. Can I attach another wire to this ground point I have found under my dash?
Yes, although the point isn't one that VW used (just love the way someone's used mains earth cable ). Anything that makes contact the body will do.
Why not use the earth stars on the instrument panel? On my van, there is one on the LH side which has 4 spare spades. A note on the photos, they appear to have used spades under the screw, I would always fit a ring, more secure.
