Go Pro cameras

  1. Anyone got one?
What are they like to use?
Thinking about getting one can get a good deal with the hero3 with extra accessories or should i go for the hero 3+ kit with remote.

  2. I have a gopro, not sure which one, not the latest but fairly recent! It is ace, we use it for surfing and really good focus from about 2ft to infinity! :)

  3. Really user Friendly, it's only got 2 buttons,
It's really easy to navigate the menus and pick what you want to do, take a pic or record etc, i have the go pro hero 2 HD, and it works great, the quality of the video from such a little camera is amazing, the hero 3 does have a crisper picture, there's lots of reviews for comparison with the 2 and 3, I went for the hero 2 with a bag full of accessories of eBay for a fraction of a hero 3 by it self would cost.

  4. I have the hero 3+ black edition which can take 4K. I don't bother using the remote, I use the wifi instead on my iPhone so you get a display screen too. Best accessory I bought was a complete spare case off eBay cheap which has a hole in the side for a charger, kit comes with 12v charger too so you can charge on the go as the battery life is appalling. They do a 'bacpac' but it's not cheap. Get the biggest memory card (32 or 64? Don't remember?) as the Hd files are huge, although if you're using a phone app you can transfer the files to your phone on the go, or even upload to internet services such as YouTube or photo bucket if you like (costly if not on wifi though)

I'm now looking at an alternative too, the Toshiba Camileo which gets good reviews and is a clear rival and is a lot cheaper. It doesn't do 4K but as I don't yet have a 4K TV that's no problem just now.

If you go for Gopro accessories are available as knockoff but don't be tempted to use any other than their own screen suction mount
    :)
