Anything to keep trump out of the white house...... Can't help thinking the Americans are stupid enough to accidentally end up with the prat as president and then god help us all!!
I think it's all too easy to tar everyone with the same brush. The US has given the world some of the greatest thinkers, inventors, engineers, scientists, you name it...I also think that there are some pretty insular types, who don't see much further than their own backdoor...not unlike the UK and elsewhere. The thing with Trump is that he's got a good handle on self promotion, and despite some of the carp that he comes out with, if it strikes a chord with enough people who've become disillusioned with the current set up, he seems like a good protest vote....bit like Farage (with worse hair)...for all his thinly-veiled right wing rhetoric, he says what he says well, and it comes across.... As for Hilary Clinton, while I'd dearly love to see a woman in power, at this juncture in history, I fear that many world leaders, especially in the Middle East, would struggle to get beyond their own patriarchal BS for her to be truly effective. She's also strikes me as a nailed-on career politician, rather than a Leader...we don't need another highly polished Technocrat governing the US, IMO. Sanders would get my vote....he's coming from a different place. Someone needs the balls to take on the Federal Reserve...for all our sakes
You have to credit them for electing Obama twice, and granted my comment was a horrible generalisation but the point stands that it could just happen and it would be awful! The world took the mockery when Bush was in the white house but it would pale into insignificance compared to this guy. Ted Cruz has been airing some fairly abhorrent racist and sexist dogma too. Time for a woman president I think....
