Been to the last 4 glasto's and to say I'm gutted I missed out on tickets is an understatement. But me and my friends who were trying to get tickets have all decided to sod the mud for one year and go all inclusive in sun lol 8) 8) 8)
Glasto is the best holiday I have every year without exception. I've had years where we went to Thailand, had the best holiday ever and glasto still topped it, despite it raining the whole time, getting trench foot and our tent leaking.
I know exactly what you mean. I have the best time ever at Glastonbury. Every time you go its different, you find different areas, different bands, hidden little stages.
Last year's Glastonbury was one of the best weeks holiday we've had as a family. Had to explain to my little boy who still goes on about it that we wouldn't be going next year. He was quite upset.
The resentment has been there ever since the online way of buying tickets started. It's a hugely over subscribed event so there's always going to be people who lose out regardless of how well the process is administered. Good administration if anything would have had it sell out even quicker...
Supply can never meet demand - 150k spaces available and prob close to 300k who want to go ..... As I've said I will keep trying and also plan to revisit some other festivals too My list includes Blissfields, big chill (if it returns), and one or two others
