Gearbox servicing in Essex

Anybody aware of anywhere North Essex/ Cambs way that is any good with manual gearboxes? Mines whining when driving
Sorted the backing plates issue on rear hubs and now can hear the gearbox so it's next on the list

 

Get a wife, they whine just that bit louder

Sounds like you might be better off going to a show/ebay or something.

Wonder if you can take it out and send it somewhere.

 

Mine was doing this before Christmas, took it to garage, turns out it was out of oil - the seal had warped on the drive shaft - on opening it the spigot was loose also apparently.
I know you've had a dad deal with this box, and hope you get any problems with it sorted fella.

Having a 3 rib box fixed might be more expensive than simply replacing it as they don't go for a lot second hand. I'd put up with the whining and save your cash for a 5-6 rib box.

Mines the same so I'm fitting louder speakers next week & worrying about it as and when it goes pop
