Not yet mate Been saving for this poxy recon box. Made sure I didn't make the same mistake on the old camper as if you remember I brought second hand and when you fitted it, it was wrecked. Anyway trying to get set for a few days at Easter.
Quick update on the coupler to give some me help to someone else in the future. After completely renewing everything except the coupler, done just before I got it, I had issues constantly finding gears , having them one minute and not the next. Anyeay turned out to be a broken gearbox coupler causing it. It's a manufacturing fault where the round end but with the bolt hole connects to the cage. Mine was rotating so that I would have gears and not get them the next time. Kombi klassics which helped me out opened 3 new ones to find they were all defective before using an old og one. All good now.
Standard practice with new couplers is to assume they are made by monkeys who can make the shape of the four letters EMPI .and simply weld the collar to the cage with a couple of smallish welds. Then paint it properly.
