Gasket sealant on fuel pump?

Hi all.

As title. When fitting a new fuel pump, do I need to use gasket sealant? Also, do I need to grease any part of it? I have purchased the type you can take apart.

Grease the pumpy bit. Oil the pushrod.
No sealant for moi.

 

Do I take the top off and grease inside the upper part where the diaphragm is? Is that what you meant? Thanks

 

No, the bottom bit the push rod pushes.
