Gas question

Discussion in 'Camper Conversions' started by AdyF, May 11, 2014.

  1. OK so the interior in mine at the moment does not have any gas. It is the original which did not seem to require any. At the end of the summer I going to get the interior redone by @sjhjoinery but in the meantime I want to be using it for camping.

Now please bear in mind this is my first bay and I've have no idea what should/could be in one (very limited exposure).

I have a propex (HS2211) to fit and a gas stove to go in. I will be putting a 3/4 r & r bed in.

    So the questions are:

    1) how many gas tanks/canisters will I need (ie do I need one for the propex and a separate one for the stove)? The stove will be removable for cooking outside the bus in the warm weather, so the gas needs to be able to come out.
    2) what size/type?
    3) where can I get them?
    4) where do people tend to fit them?

are is there anything else I need to know?

    Cheers guys

  2. I have fitted a Propex and Stove into my van - just got the gas done at the weekend - and am running it off a single bottle. I got a Campingaz bottle as it was small enough to fit under the bed. You can see the pic of my gas location here http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/oscar-the-super-viking.35283/page-4

The heater is going in front of the Zig charger and ducting out through the front of the kick panel.

@AdyF I think you're just up the road from me so I could pop over and you can have a nose around my gas set up if you like.

  5. Thanks @sANDYbAY I'll pm you
