Fuse size

Just a quickie .... Just fitted led lighting... What fuse size should I put in aux fuse box ... 5 amp .. 8amp?

 

Depends on the LED rating but I'd say 5amp will be fine...

Amps = Watts / Voltage

So we know voltage is 12v, work out the equivalent watts of the LED and you've got your amp fuse...

 

How many? Dependent on Wattage....if its internal lighting then you may only need something in the region of 500mA up to 1.5A

 

I bought some 10 watt LEDs so:

Amps = 10/12
Amps = 0.83

So a 2 amp fuse would be fine.
