morning all ive got a little problem everytime i turn the steering wheel my full beam comes on and off and the lever to turn the full beam on i have to click it loads to get it to turn off plus my horn goes of when i lean on the steering wheel {but this has been doing this for months } any help would be much appreciated
I'd guess you have a short through the column? i presume the wires are routed from the horn/switch either in or next tho the column and it's shorting out and completing the circuit.
Had the horn issue with mine and it was play in the column. on a recommendation I fitted a Bluebird steering bush to the column which solved it. Quite a simple job apart from getting the steering wheel off', you will ned a puller for that if your doing it. The bush is a interferenceh fit (ie knock in with a length of thich walled tubing into the column and can be done in situ) there will still be a small amount of play on the column but more like how its supposed to be. Made a noticeable although small improvement to steering.
