    this is exactly as i brought it,

    iv emptied it now though and tacked the drivers side arch in place but no pics as yet

    You have got your work cut out but good luck. I rather like it and there is scoop for a fantastic interior too.

    As a pointer I am not convinced the cooling is adequate with those 2 small scoops.
     
  3. i did wonder the same thing, but looking at normal sigle cabs they only had the vents above the rear wheel arches and i dont think they fed directly in to the engine compartment.
     
  4. any one know if vw ever built bay pick ups with the fuel tank in any other position other than just in front of the engine firewall? mine is located directly behind the passenger seat (lhd).

    The air scoops on the pick ups were great. The had a cavity box type thing and a massive whole in what would have been the fire wall directing cool air directly to the fan. In my mind far better than what is on a bus. I do believe the gas tank was mounted in the cavity box.
     
  7. Thanks for your response. i have serched google and every pick up picture i have looked at shows the fuel tank at the back in front of the firewall.

    I must say I want to see this finished and looking good, its unique and I sure hope it looks good when completed!
