Fuel line recall - is this the start?

  1. Lexus have recalled 10,ooo cars with suspect fuel lines which they say could cause a fire, on models made between 2005 and 2010. Could this be due to 'carp' rubber fuel lines and ethanol making them perish and split?
Is this the start of recalls on other makes as well? E5 and E10!

  2. possibly....Toyota have had another big recall on master cylinder O rings....possible fluid leaks into servo, and another related to fuel suction plates.....all of which use rubber compounds....

  3. that's because they make cars out of chocolate these days, BMW had issues with fuel vent pipe rubbing on the chassis, diesels mostly but never a recall, quite a good idea a diesel leak in front of a tyre, then the new crap mini diesel, fuel filter mounted under tank, gets grit and muck, vibrates and rubs through on the bracket. New cars are pants, I don't mind saying how crap BMW are, I don't work for em anymore.
