  1. My Fuel guage is very temperamental. stays on full for ages, then will suddenly drop, will show emtpy when atleast a quarter full. No steady readings.

Ive changed the Sender and the wiring is all good. so what else could be the problem?

    Thanks

  2. I have spent hour working on mine , new sender , wiring, voltage stabaliser etc etc . I now have a note book and pencil , fill up after 150 miles . Not run out yet

  6. It might be that the guage has been fiddled with in the past and so the range is out, check resistance of the sender circuit at the back of the gauge - should be 0 rising to 70 Ohms between empty and full (or the other way round) if memory serves?

  7. Remove the two copper nuts and lightly sand them and the post area to the gauge. The wire loops too,,Make them shinny ,,, if they are dirty ,and they are , your reading wont be accurate ,
