I know that any prototype system will have teething troubles, which you will solve. But there will be some incidents along the road to success that make for good stories.. like the old Citroen DS picking up small cars on its tow hitch as its suspension powered up..

You will need servo controlled air lift to open the windscreen evenly... if you twist it as you open it, it will be springy up to a point.. thats a heavy lump to support from two sliders at the edges. Another switch or two on the dash, more air lines and operating pistons behind the kick panels with bowden cables to the screen. .
