Front curtain sizes?

    Currently finishing up our curtains.
I pinched the curtain sizes from Madmatz as I bought the rails from them. The sizes for the other curtains seem good, however the front curtain seems way too wide at 72” (I’ve not made the curtain yet but trial fitted the lining).
I did have to cut down the 1.5 metre rails a bit as I couldn’t see a neat way of overlapping them at the rear mirror. Shall I just make them a little narrower or am missing some reason as to why they should be so wide? Rails run from rear of doors to mirror (sneaky peek of curtain below too!)

All sorted now I think. I had a better mock-up tonight. The extra width seems to be to allow the fabric to tuck down along the dashboard.

My near side cab rail overlaps the slider one by quite a bit.

I made some vinyl ones to match the rest of the van. Goes bloomin' lovely against the leaf print:

Should have the curtains all done in the next day or two.

  7. @JamesLey sorry it's andan old post. But do you by any chance have a few more pictures of where you've attached your curtain tracks?

Especially the bend for the front curtains. It's more of a bend and twist?

I'll grab some pics for you later today. It did need a bit of persuasion around the front corners!

Here you go. Hopefully gives you a good idea.

Along the sides in the back I lined the base of the track up with the bottom of the sloped portion of the van side.

Around the front I just matched it up to the same height as the side pieces and followed it round.

Along the front the track will end up tilted forward at a fair angle due to the angle of the van front.

And then along the back it just runs along the back of my head banger.

  10. Awesome thanks for the pictures! That's going to save me some time when I go ahead and fit mine.
I like your interior by the way.
