  1. Hi

Could someone tell me what those stone chip front cover things are called?

Found some on Jk called "Bra" but they are discontinued.

I have googled all sorts of things but I'm not getting there.

Please don't say stone chip covers.lol

    Cheers

hmm, nope! I wouldnt have one but Trevs bus looks great with it on the front..I think its all down to personal taste in the end!!

  8. I think I might need one on the m/way.

I would cry if my fresh paint got chipped!

  10. personally not for me, but if you look in the back of classic car mags etc there is a thin clear vinyl wrap that can be applied to your body work to protect your paint while looking completely invisible, not sure how much it is or where to get it done but that might be worth thinking about, those bras, once wet can slightly rub to give you matted paint in areas which looks pony

I prefer to see a wet tee shirt & no bra
Car bras are okay but remember to take them off once they've got wet & dry them thoroughly. Leave them on & they just add to your rust woes.

  15. Chaffing. Ooer !

  16. Armourfend is one of the clear plastic options - I've got it on my car in vulnerable places, and it's taken the brunt of some spirited trips through gravel and saved the paint underneath. Although I expect you won't be taking your van on the racetrack!

Personally I don't see the point of having lovely paint and then hiding it away from view.

  17. Haha absolutely not a must.. infact I barely see them and glad of it really... I don't really like them and as others have said rubbing and rust... You've got nice paint why cover it up... Blemishes will be a part of its life...

    Naked busses win! ;)

  18. Stone chips look nicer than a bra mate :D

I've got this in my garage. Used it once, took it off, been there since.

  20. This option for me. Mine will be in for clear vinyl on the front as soon as it's on the road.
