Frog-eyes

  1. I couldn’t resist taking on these two frog-eye projects, despite having a few others on the go. ‍ The price was right and there’s still space in the shop. Just needed to move a few extraneous items out, like tools, work benches, etc. Never mind it’s one man show…and that I’m a little past my prime.

  2. Love the frogeye Sprite - Tried to buy one in 1968 for £350 but it had gone before I got there - bought a Mk1 Midget instead = and MGs ever since

  3. It’s quite the story on how I came to be the custodian of these two cars. I have a car magnet in my back pocket, I suppose. I’ll restore one and sell the other. The black frog-eye on the saw horses, now stored in a tent out back, was flood-damaged and previously dismantled. It still has the tags but no registration papers, which is too bad. Perhaps I’ll build it into a racer one day! My family thinks I’m nuts and they are probably right. Aren’t we all, to some degree? There is even a race track not far from our home…hmm

  5. We have dwarf car racing here…soon to be referred to as ‘little racing?’ And what about Dinky toys?

Love the frog eye sprites, my Uncle had one years ago, he used to take me and his eldest out in it.

I restored a Midget back in 2015, it was a rubber bumper one that I converted to chrome bumpers. It cam as a half finished project with a solid shell and boxes of bits.
