Me mate has a non VW camper but it has a domestic C40110 3 way fridge. He couldn't get it to work on gas, I went around and lit it straight away. His ignition switch is broken but it still lit the burner, it did not flash or click. I am assuming that a replacement switch will sort this, I couldn't get me head around the lack of clicking though??
It might be a single clicky piezo type, like we used to have on our old gas fire. Doesn't run continuously, like the one on your hob.
It is the click one as he is ham fisted and it was clicking and flashing while he was trying to light it, he says it must have got broken while loading to come home,,,,, not
